Fishmadman ships fly-fishing products worldwide — from remote rivers in Northern Norway to sea trout destinations in Patagonia. All orders are dispatched from Denmark using reliable postal and courier services, and we work continuously to make international shipping as smooth, secure, and transparent as possible.

Global shipping conditions and import regulations have become more complex in recent years, and rules may vary from country to country. We do our best to stay updated and help customers navigate these differences as clearly as possible. Shipping prices, delivery times, customs handling, VAT and local import fees may therefore vary depending on destination and local regulations.

All payment information entered during checkout is processed through encrypted SSL connections, ensuring that no unauthorised party can access your card or personal information.

Customer information provided when placing an order is stored securely and only as required under Danish bookkeeping legislation for up to 5 years. We only collect and store information necessary to process, ship and support your order.

Payment – Simple & Secure

We accept most major credit cards through trusted payment providers. Payments are processed securely, and no sensitive card information is stored on our servers.

We also support Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported devices and browsers. Availability may vary depending on your device, operating system and browser configuration. For the best experience, we recommend using updated versions of major browsers such as Safari, Chrome or Edge.

Orders are normally processed shortly after successful payment confirmation.

Shopping with Fishmadman is fast, easy, and secure.

Browse our collection, choose your flies, add them to your cart, and continue shopping or proceed directly to checkout.

Shipping prices are calculated automatically during checkout once you enter your country and delivery address. This is simply because there is a big difference between sending a small package 50 km from us in Denmark — or 5000 km across the world.

When your location is entered, the system will automatically show the shipping methods available for your area together with the corresponding prices, so you can choose the solution that fits you best before completing your order.

Complete your billing and delivery details, add optional order notes if needed, and finalize your purchase securely online.

Then simply sit back and wait for your high-quality flies to arrive.

Delivery Charges

 

Free Shipping at 125 USD

When purchasing goods worth more than 125 USD, we offer free shipping to your destination.

Once your order qualifies, the free shipping option will automatically appear during checkout together with the other available shipping methods. Simply select the “Free Shipping” option before completing your order.

Shipping options and delivery methods are shown automatically after entering your country and delivery address during checkout.

Economy Shipping (Flat Rate)

For selected destinations, we offer Economy Shipping — also known as Flat Rate Shipping.

This solution is available wherever local postal conditions and regulations make it possible. In many cases, the products we ship are very small and lightweight and can often be sent safely as standard international letter mail instead of expensive parcel freight.

Economy Shipping is typically around 7 USD and is the most affordable shipping solution we can offer.

Please note:

  • No tracking

  • No delivery updates

  • No insurance

  • Lower shipping cost

Whenever possible, we are happy to send your flies, feathers and fly-tying materials using simple Economy Shipping to help keep shipping costs reasonable for our customers.

We do our best to make this option available wherever possible, especially because international shipping costs have increased significantly in recent years — even for very small shipments.

Track & Trace / Signed-For Shipping

For destinations where additional security, customs handling or postal regulations require it, we also offer tracked and Signed-For shipping options.

This shipping method typically costs between 12–25 USD depending on destination and local postal conditions.

Track & Trace shipping includes:

  • Tracking number

  • Delivery updates

  • Signed delivery in many countries

  • Additional shipping documentation where required

Some countries and shipping destinations require additional handling, customs registration or documented delivery methods depending on local postal and import procedures.

We do not make money on shipping costs. Fishmadman sells flies and fly-tying materials — not freight services. The shipping prices shown during checkout reflect the actual shipping cost as closely as possible, without additional handling or packaging fees added on top.

Economy Shipping is available for selected destinations where local postal conditions allow it. This is often the most affordable solution for small and lightweight orders such as flies, feathers and fly-tying materials.

Track & Trace / Signed-For Shipping is used for destinations where additional delivery security, customs handling or local postal regulations require documented or trackable shipping.

All available shipping methods and prices are automatically displayed during checkout once you enter your delivery country and address.

Customs & Documentation

All international shipments include the necessary customs declarations (CN22/CN23) in accordance with international postal and export requirements.

For some destinations, additional customs documentation may be attached when required by local import procedures or postal authorities.

Free Shipping

Free shipping automatically becomes available during checkout for qualifying orders of 125 USD or more.

Approximate equivalents:

  • 125 USD ≈ 115 EUR

  • 125 USD ≈ 1,100 DKK

How Long Does Shipping Take?

We always try to process and ship orders as quickly as possible — in many cases the same day or within 24 hours after payment has been completed.

Delivery times can vary depending on destination, local postal services, customs handling and the selected shipping method.

Estimated Delivery Times

  • Scandinavia: typically 2–4 business days

  • Europe: typically 3–7 business days

  • USA & Japan: typically 5–12 business days

  • Rest of the world: varies depending on destination and local postal conditions

Please keep in mind that international shipping has become more unpredictable in recent years, especially for small international letter shipments.

In some countries, customs inspections or import processing may occasionally cause delays. This can especially apply to shipments containing natural fly-tying materials such as feathers, fur or other organic materials commonly used in fly tying.

These inspections are carried out by local customs or postal authorities and are unfortunately outside our control.

If you select Economy Shipping (Flat Rate), delivery may in some cases take a little longer than Track & Trace / Signed-For shipping, as these shipments are handled through standard postal systems without priority handling or tracking updates.
