April 22 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm Erika Obermeyer started her winemaking journey as assistant winemaker at Kleine Zalze in 1999. Worldly knowledge and some winemaking secrets were also attained through completing harvest tenures in Sancerre, St Emilion and Beziers. She then took her expertise to Graham Beck in 2005 where she made their still wines. Erika, in 2016, then took the plunge, and decided to jump head first into her own brand: Erika O. “Introducing a brand and wine without a history, an estate or heritage presents a unique challenge. It does however offer the opportunity to explore the wine’s soul, its magical origins and the philosophy that brings all the elements of great winemaking together. Timing is everything.
