Sinemet Tablet is a prescription medication that combines carbidopa and levodopa, designed to manage symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonism. This dual-action tablet works to increase dopamine levels in the brain, helping to control motor symptoms associated with these conditions. Uses Sinemet is primarily used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease symptoms, management of parkinsonism, and controlling motor fluctuations in advanced Parkinson’s disease. Side Effects Common side effects include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and involuntary movements (dyskinesias). Some patients experience confusion, hallucinations, or vivid dreams. Orthostatic hypotension, dry mouth, and constipation may occur. Long-term use may cause motor fluctuations and “wearing-off” effects.
